Caregiver Training
The goal of caregiver training is to equip those closest to the client with the skills needed to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors that emerge long after ABA services have ended. Joyful ABA believes lasting change occurs when caregivers learn behavior change techniques to use in and out of session.
Caregiver training can be held for 1 or more hours per week depending on the needs of the family. During these training sessions, the BCBA will teach caregivers how to promote communication, teach social and daily living skills, and reduce challenging behaviors.
BCBA-Led Therapy
Joyful ABA offers BCBA-led ABA therapy to provide clients with efficient and effective care straight from the expert. The BCBA works one-on-one with clients to practice communication, social and daily living skills, and behavior reduction goals.
During these sessions, caregivers are present to learn along side the BCBA and practice the skills they are targeting in caregiver training.
Remote Supervision
Those working toward becoming a BCBA can partner with Joyful ABA to receive hands on experience working with clients and their caregivers. Joyful ABA emphasizes a strong foundation in ABA principles, ethical delivery of services, and practice of soft skills necessary in the human services industry. Supervisees will gain experience conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) including functional analyses (FAs), conducting skills assessments, utilizing organizational behavior management (OBM) techniques, and implementing caregiver training.
